Grant Schemes

Our Heat Pumps have the accreditations to ensure access to the maximum available grant funds for your project. We make this happen by taking as much of the administrative interpretation, diligence and costs from the numerous grant schemes away from you. These schemes are as follows:

The Low Carbon Buildings Programme Phase 1 (LCBP1) is administered by the BRE and has run since 2006.

LCBP1 is open to householders in the UK (exceptions being the Channel Islands and Isle of Man) and is designed to promote the realisation of low carbon buildings through the combination of microgeneration technologies and high efficiency heat distribution systems.

Influence Heat Pumps are able to deliver Microgeneration solutions that meet the requirements of this scheme, therefore making the householder eligible to apply for a grant of £1,200 (minimum) for a Ground Source Heat Pump and £900 for an Air Source Heat Pump.

Low Carbon Buildings Programme Phase 2 (LCBP2), administered by the BRE, offers a maximum grant funding of 50% against the complete design, supply, installation and commissioning. LCBP2 provides grant funding across the UK for the purchase and installation of microgeneration technologies by the following types of organisation:
  • Local Authorities
  • Housing Associations
  • Schools, College and Universities
  • Hospitals
  • Environmental Trusts
  • Libraries
  • Registered Charities
More information on LCBP1 and LCBP2 can be found at: www.lowcarbonbuildings.org.uk

The Scottish Community & Householder Renewables Initiative (SCHRI) is funded by the Scottish Executive and administered by the Energy Savings Trust. SCHRI provides grants for domestic or community projects and is limited to Scotland.

SCHRI is a flexible grant system in that it allows developers to apply for grants on behalf of their customers, the future home owners. The MCS Accreditation of our Heat Pumps ensures that our products and services are SCHRI-enabled.

More information on SCHRI can be found at: www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/schri/

Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT) funding is available from a surcharge levied on all electricity consumption across the UK. This funding can be used for heat pumps and in some situations this funding can be a significant amount. The best case for CERT funding is homes heated by solid fuel or electricity since the CO2 savings can be very large. Priority is given to groups who are particularly vulnerable in society - under which conditions the funding can be enhanced.

Actual amounts of funding vary hugely between property type, fuel used, priority groups and funding utility. Please contact us for specific information.

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS Accreditation Scheme) is a scheme that certifies low carbon and renewable energy technology products and installers, the ambition is to rapidly grow the microgeneration industry by applying rigorous standards to the manufacture and installation of approved technologies. The MCS Scheme therefore provides consumers with a guarantee that the products/ installers they select meet a high, third party tested, standard. To be eligible to receive a grant you must use an MCS certified installer and an MCS certified product.
The UK's leading trade association for the hvacr industry. The Heating and Ventilating Contractors' Association.
Registration with REFCOM enables responsible companies to demonstrate competence to clients and other interested parties in the safe handling and recovery of refrigerants in accordance with (EC) 842/2006.
CLE operates a licensing scheme for traders in the construction industry. The CLE scheme promotes higher standards of workmanship and customer service in construction companies. By providing information to consumers, to help them to find and appoint such reputable traders, we aim to protect them from rogue traders in the industry.

Accredited Mitsibushi Electric Installers are committed to demonstrating competence in key areas such as Installation, Commissioning, Maintenance, Health and Safety, Corporate Social Responsibility and Refrigerant Handling.
